There’s something uniquely intimate about a couple celebrating their engagement within the walls of their own home. It’s a space filled with memories, laughter, and the quiet moments that have defined their relationship. I had the joy of capturing such a session for Sarah and Matthew in Longmont, Colorado.

As I arrived, I was instantly drawn in by the warmth of their living room. Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a soft glow that danced across the walls adorned with photographs and art. Each corner of the space felt like a snapshot of their journey together, from the record collection to the cat themed welcome mat.
We started our session in the kitchen, where Sarah and Matthew enjoyed some pizza and drinks together. Then we moved to the living room and they cuddled on the couch, showcasing their everyday life together. The genuine smiles and laughter that flowed were a testament to their deep connection, making it easy to capture candid moments that spoke volumes. After some cuddles, we put on a Milky Chance record and they danced together. It was a amazing to see the two of them lock in with each other and get totally caught in the moment.

One of the foundations of my work is making my couples feel at ease. Since Sarah and Matthew were in their own home, they were able to stay relaxed and authentic. We chatted about their day to day and I met their sweet kitty.
I encouraged them to interact with each other, asking them to hold hands, share whispers, and try to make each other laugh. The resulting images were filled with genuine emotion, showcasing the natural spark between the two of them.

At the end of the evening, we stepped outside to capture some portraits on the front steps. With the brick backdrop and the sun beginning to set we had such perfect evening softness. It was really sweet to get this time with them! More to come from their WEDDING day! 💚

meet ME
Slow mornings, sunshine on my face, the serenity of standing in a forest. Laughter between friends, rowdy concerts, trying a new vegan restaurant. The stillness of a mountain top, riding my bike through town, watching spring unfold. Small moments give joy and meaning to this lil life of mine. Each photo I create is rooted in intention and love for the people around me and this planet we are so lucky to share.
